Beaches in Cancun

Cancun beaches are some of the most beautiful playas in the world. Thy are formed by sand of calcareous type, hence the white color. Because of its fine texture and temperature, the sand stays cool even though the sun shines all day.

Two major zones

Even though Cancun playas are plenty, two zones are exceptional.

The first is located in the north of the hotel zone, facing Isla Mujeres and is protected by its location within the bay. This location is perfect for children and to practice aquatic activities like jet skiing, water skiing or sailing due to its calm waves.

The other zone is located on the eastern side of the hotel zone, with the open sea in front. This group of excellent water fronts has intense waves that varies depending on the season.

For your safety, Cancun hotel and the marinas use colored warning flags in the water. It is highly recomended to obey the regulations for. Tides and undertow currents could be dangerous.

For the most part however the Cancun playas are safe and you have nothing to worry about. So have yourself a tropical drink and use sun tan lotion and spend your vacation by the water. We suggest taking advantage of the white sand as soon as you arrive in Cancun Mexico.
